The marketing genre of book trailers is a relatively recent phenomenon, used to good effect here. This trailer for Seth Grahame-Smith's Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter follows the success of his bestselling novel(ty) Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. The book is already in development as a feature film, although one suspects that the trailer may capture much that the feature film is likely to offer. Billing itself (with tongue in cheek) as "the TRUE history of our 16th President," the trailer falls into the genre of alternative history but it is not yet clear whether the film version will follow through on what makes this genre historiographically relevant.
