Naive liberal politics frame the narrative of Sneakers

by ccManager
Commentary summary:
A composite of Sneakers' opening and closing scenes illustrate the repetitiveness of its themes related to computer hacking

Text Commentary:

Naive liberal fantasies such as Richard Nixon donating all his money to the marijuana legalization movement or the Republican party donating to the Black Panthers demonstrate the limits of political sophistication in Sneakers. This clip is a composite of the opening and closing sequences of the film, bridging a gap between the early days of the internet when college kids with a phone modem could hack into the Federal Reserve and the early 1990s when a sophisticated hardware decryption system is required to create the potential for total societal chaos.
