Nothing costs more than information

The Dr. Know information kiosk offers expensive, enigmatic access to data
Text Commentary:
"In this day and age, David, nothing costs more than information." Thus Jude Law warns Haley Joel Osment about the idiosyncracies of dealing with humanoid interfaces. In movies, personified artificial intelligence agents are notoriously recalcitrant and Dr. Know, the mischievous, Einstein-esque, holographic information kiosk in this centerpiece CGI sequence from Artificial Intelligence is no exception. The Dr. Know system in fact requires impossibly precise and pre-categorized questions in order to yield useful information, which, in the end, turns out to have been planted specifically in order to lure the errant cyborg boy back to his makers.
