Surrogates future war
by ccManagerCommentary summary:
An ironic reversal of the "theater of war" via neurologically controlled avatars
Text Commentary:
In this ironic reversal of the concept of a "theater of war," soldier-avatars are controlled remotely from a warehouse-sized room full of video monitors and high speed connections. While the warfare itself resembles a conventional 20th century battlefield, the interface between human controller and surrogate avatars is entirely neurological - i.e., without physical or manual operations of any kind.
