TV that looks back
by ccManagerCommentary summary:
TVs sometimes watch back
Text Commentary:
The old, familiar cinematic trope of TVs that watch back is deployed unapologetically in this final scene from Enemy of the State, which ironically segues directly to Larry King declaring the need for limits on the government's right to violate the privacy of citizens. The TV also appears here as a conduit for individual communication by a reformed NSA operative who has eluded and reversed the gaze of the state surveillance apparatus.
