Diet Coke Ad

by Kelli Marshall

This is a Diet Coke commercial that aired in the U.S. in 1991 in which dead screen/music legends Humphrey Bogart, Louis Armstrong and James Cagney were resurrected via "rotoscopy" and CGI to "perform" alongside and/or interact with the (very much alive) performer Elton John. While some critics deemed the commercial creative and technically savvy, others likened it to grave-robbing.
